Mrs. Christine Dowuona-Hammond is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana. She is a graduate of the University of Ghana and holds an LL.M from the University of Michigan, U.S.A. 

 

Christine is also the Managing Consultant of C. Dowouna - Hammond & Co. (Solicitors & Consultants).  Her areas of specialization include Commercial Law, Contract Law, Corporate Law and Development Consultancy.

 

As a Development Consultant, Christine is engaged in extensive research work in gender and development, property rights of women and development planning. She has also published widely in a range of areas including Contract Law, Inheritance and Property Rights, and Children's Rights.

 

Christine has been the Chairperson of the Board of Ghana Re since 2001.
