Ghana Re introduced life business as part of its line of businesses in 1984. Since then the life business has been growing from strength to strength each year.
The department is staffed with qualified and technically competent personnel who have been providing good services to the ceding companies operating in the Ghanaian Insurance market.
In deed it was through the initiative and drive of the staff of the department that the Life Offices Association was given birth to in Ghana. A hallmark of the department, indeed of the whole company, is the prompt settlement of claims. Other services provided by the department to its cedants, include among others the following:
· Assistance to direct companies in risk appraisal · Provision of underwriting guidelines · Seminars for ceding companies · Attachment training for ceding companies
The department covers all kinds of life businesses which include the following:
1. endowment 2. universal life/unit-linked 3. ordinary term 4. mortgage protection 5. keyman 6. funeral policies 7. pension 8. group life/group schemes, etc
Businesses are accepted on both Facultative and Treaty basis. |
