Prof. Amoah Baah - Nuakoh is the former Head of the Department of Economics, University of Ghana where he started his lecturing career in 1973. He received his BSc. Economics degree from the University of Ghana, MA Economics from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada and a PhD Economics from Reading University, Reading, England.
Prof. Baah - Nuakoh was also an Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of Liberia, Monrovia, Liberia between 1983 and 1990. He was the first Director of the World Bank/African Capacity Building Foundation sponsored post - graduate programme in Economic Policy Management of the University of Ghana from 1982 to 2002.
He specializes in the Economics of Industry and Development Economics and has written extensively in various areas including Insurance, Small Enterprises, the Industrial Sector of Ghana and the Informal Sector. He has also published three books on the Economy of Ghana and has served as a Consultant to many local and international organizations and institutions including:

Prof. Amoah Baah - Nuakoh is an Assembly Member (Government Appointee) of Amansie East District of Ashanti Region. He is married with four children and has been member of the Ghana Re Board since October 2001. |
