As part of its policy of offering efficient and effective client services to domestic insurers, Ghana re has restructured its domestic operations by providing a one-stop reinsurance service for them.
Hitherto, domestic insurers have to purchase reinsurance covers from separate departments. This is no longer the case. Today, domestic insurers can transact their compulsory cessions, Treaty and Facultative arrangements within the same department.
This new arrangement has been made feasible because dedicated members of staff have been trained and continue to receive training to satisfy the peculiar needs of various insurance companies that are within their domain. There are three (3) teams in all and they cater for the reinsurance as well as technical needs of specific companies assigned to them. |
